Ardbeg An Oa represents the distillery's first standard release in nearly a decade. Matured in a combination of virgin oak, Pedro Ximenez, and bourbon barrels, with component whiskies married in the distillery’s French oak ‘Gathering Vat,’ it offers a symphony of flavors and aromas. The nose is redolent with sweet peat, smoky lemon rind, ginger, and angelica, leading to a palate of soft sweetness followed by hot peat, black tea, peppery cloves, and aniseed.
