Blackadder Rawcask Shizuoka Single Malt Japanese Whisky 2023

Selected by Blackadder from a single cask, the whisky in this bottle comes from Shizuoka Distillery - situated in the mountains lying inland from the city of Shizouka, South-West of Tokyo. It has been bottled as Raw Cask, which means that each and every bottle contains its share of the Cask Sediment, as well as natural oils and fats that might otherwise be left behind when filling a cask-strength whisky straight from cask.

This whisky is a true testament to the artistry of Japanese whisky craftsmanship. This particular expression, distilled on the 28th of June 2018 in pot still W, bears the unique imprint of Bourbon barrel No. 740. Patiently nurtured and aged to perfection, it reached its pinnacle of maturity before being carefully bottled in August 2023. Limited to just 223 bottles, each sip unveils the distinct character and rare quality that define this singular creation, making it a cherished addition to any connoisseur's collection.
