Daniel Weller Emmer Wheat Recipe Kentucky Straight Bourbon marks the inaugural release in a new series from Buffalo Trace, dedicated to exploring variations in W.L. Weller's renowned wheated mash bill. This unique bourbon features emmer wheat, an ancient grain considered the original cultivated wheat. Distilled in the E.H. Taylor, Jr. Microstill—a combination pot and column still of Wheatley's own design—the whiskey was then aged for approximately 12 years. Bottled at 47% ABV, this expression pays homage to Daniel Weller, the grandfather of William Larue Weller, a pioneer in Kentucky distilling.
