Mackmyra Björksav

Since its inception in 1999, Mackmyra Svensk Whisky has challenged the status quo with innovative expressions that were very well received by the whisky world. Their spirit starts with local barley, spring water, and Swedish oak ― they even cooper custom Swedish oak casks that are suited for the unique Swedish climate and the old mine where the whisky matures. Mackmyra's Seasonal Collection consists of whiskies with unique seasonal characteristics. Björksav (birch sap) is a single malt that is inspired by the return of spring. Apart from ex-bourbon and oloroso sherry casks, this expression was matured in Swedish and American oak casks that were seasoned with Swedish birch sap wine from Grythyttan Vin, resulting in a uniquely floral sipper.
