Old Charter Oak Chinkapin Oak is an exceptional bourbon that stands out due to its unique aging process. Aged for nine years in barrels made from Chinkapin Oak, this bourbon derives much of its character from the special oak trees that make up its barrels. The oak staves used in crafting these barrels were air-dried for two years, far longer than the typical industry standard of three months. This prolonged drying process allows the wood to develop deep, rich flavors that are imparted into the whiskey as it matures.
